The side mounted level switch works on the principle of opposite magnets which instantly changes the polarity of magnets thereby making instantly the changeover. The 1 NO + NC is achieved by this way. The flanges and floats consists of stainless steel.

A change in liquid raises or lowers the float up and down. The end pivot arm (non float side) contains a permanent magnets that can repel the switch magnets (inside the stationery ’stem’ of the entir estructure.)

When the float magnet moves close the switch’s stationery stem, the float magnet repel the switch magnets which either opens or closes the electrical contacts which is used to detects level.
